Colorado Springs is full of local small businesses to support, and Inga Pettner, the owner of Conscious Living Shop, wants to commend the people behind a few of them.

In an email interview, Pettner praised the owners of three local businesses, all located near her shop in Old Colorado City.

1.     Jewels Burdick, owner of Simple Body

According to the Simple Body website, the store sells skin care products made from natural ingredients. Pettner said she appreciates the work Burdick puts into running her business and the quality of what she produces.

“She is the most kind and caring human I have ever met. She is an incredibly hard worker and makes the best skin care products you can get your hands on.”

2.     Antoni Rog, owner of La Baguette

While there are four separately owned La Baguette restaurants in Colorado Springs, Pettner has personal connections with Rog and the Old Colorado City location.

“He is also a very hard worker and puts so much time and love into running an amazing business. I worked with him for nine to 10 years and love his wife and workers like family.”

3.     Peri Elise Bolts, founder and owner of Eclectic CO. and Circa Vintage

Pettner highlighted Bolts’ success running Eclectic CO., a small business that sells handmade and sustainable goods from local vendors, according to the description on their website. The store has two locations in Colorado Springs.

Bolts also owns Circa Vintage, which, according to their website, is a sustainability-focused store that offers retro-inspired and vintage products from local sellers.

“She started her business young, and it blew up and she is killing it. I hope I can run the business [Conscious Living Shop] as well as she does.”
