The Lyric offers a variety of eclectic events and activities, but their marketing director, Nolan Brumbach, appreciates and encourages support for other creative community hubs beyond his work venue.
Brumbach shared two places he appreciates: one, a personal favorite, and the other, a local nonprofit.
1. The Atrium Music Lounge
Connor Williams and Hunter Horsfall co-own this local-focused live entertainment venue. The Atrium’s website features a lengthy lineup of concerts, burlesque shows, drag shows and other activities.
Brumbach highlighted their Nerd Nights, with features like board games, coloring supplies and themed drinks.
“The one that immediately comes to mind is here in Fort Collins as well, another really cool local space. It was started by Hunter Horsfall a couple of years ago, and it's crazy. There are plants everywhere and, like, not stained glass, but, you know, a lot of different colors. And they do nerd game nights and concerts, and they also do some drag and burlesque shows, too, but yeah, they're really great.”
2. The Music District
According to their website, The Music District is a nonprofit organization that supports musicians and professional industry members.
Their space is filled with resources for its members, including gear, production and rehearsal spaces, conference rooms, updated software and more. They also offer educational opportunities for professional growth that accommodate a range of experience levels.
The Music District welcomes industry professionals located in Northern Colorado to inquire about membership; a membership provides access to all of their resources and costs $30 a month.
More information on getting membership and about The Music District can be found on their website.
