Thanksgiving Meal Guide: Colorado organizations and businesses serving holiday meals

Note: All these dining options were found through suggestions from Colorado residents or promotions from organizations/businesses in Colorado on social media. No local publications were consulted or used to create this list.

Residents and organization owners across Colorado have been promoting and recommending Thanksgiving dinner gatherings on social media, making sure everyone can access a Thanksgiving meal who wants one.

The following compilation of suggestions is not comprehensive, but it may serve as inspiration for Coloradans seeking Thanksgiving dinner plans. These recommendations are open to everyone, served by local organizations and vary in style, location and cost.

Arvada

  • Pier 8 Cajun Seafood’s all-you-can-eat menu will be offered on Nov. 28 from 11 a.m to 9:30 p.m. According to their Thanksgiving dinner announcement, the meal costs $59.95 for adults, $27.95 for children ages 7-10 and $19.95 for children ages 3-6. Reservations are required, and parties of one to eight people can be accommodated.

Boulder

  • Unity Columbine Spiritual Center will host their Community Thanksgiving Day Potluck on Nov. 28 from 1-5 p.m. The potluck will take place at the center in Foss Hall. According to their announcement, the potluck is open to everyone; no RSVP is needed to attend, but their website notes that attendees should bring a potluck dish as well as a game or a puzzle.

  • The Root Kava Co. will host a Thanksgiving Community Potluck on Nov. 28 from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Those interested in attending must sign up in person via a sheet at their register and are encouraged to bring a dish to share. Their announcement notes that this event is open to anyone 21 and older, and a one-drink minimum will be charged.

Breckenridge

  • BoLD Restaurant and Bar is serving a four-course Mediterranean Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 28. According to the restaurant’s website, these meals will be served starting at 2 p.m., and a reservation is required to attend. Parties of two or more can reserve a time slot via OpenTable, and those interested can inquire about a single-person reservation by calling the restaurant at 970-423-5150. Four-course meals will cost $75 per person, and three-course age 14-and-under kids meals are $35. Their Thanksgiving menu is available on their website.

    BoLD is also offering a “TO-GO Family Style Thanksgiving Dinner” option for pre-order. Their website asks that these requests be made by calling 970-423-5150, and they can be picked up from noon to 3 p.m. A meal for five costs $200, and a meal for 10 costs $350. All to-go menu options are available on the restaurant’s website.

Castle Rock

To-go orders are available to reserve and can be picked up at the church from 11 a.m. to noon. Those interested can also attend dinner at the church from noon to 1:30 p.m.  Their website asks that those who attend in person bring a dish; last names beginning with A-T should bring a side dish that serves four to six people, and last names beginning with U-Z should bring a dessert for 4-6 people.

Centennial

  • Viewhouse Eatery, Bar & Rooftop will sell to-go dinners for Thanksgiving. According to their website, each serves four to six people, and those interested can choose between a $150 Slow-Roasted Prime Rib option or a $110 Roast Turkey option. Both come with the buyer’s choice of four sides, which can be found on Viewhouse’s website. Orders can be placed by calling 303-790-8440 and can be picked up all day on Nov. 27.

Colorado Springs

  • Wackadoo Brewing is hosting a free Friendsgiving potluck on Nov. 28 at 1 p.m. According to the event’s page, attendees can bring a dish to the event but are not required to.

  • According to Edelweiss German Restaurant’s menu, they are selling a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for $35, which can also be purchased in a smaller size for $22.50. Pumpkin and pecan pies can be purchased whole or in slices, and they are sold separately from the meal. All of Edelweiss’ usual menu options will also be available to order on Thanksgiving.

    According to their website, Reservations are advised and are no longer available for more than one person as of Nov. 21.

  • Carefree Bar and Grill will provide a free Friendsgiving buffet on Nov. 28 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. According to their announcement, everyone is welcome, and donations will be accepted but are not required.

  • Homa Café + Bar offers an “Everything but the Turkey” side dish bundle; according to their event page, the sides feed four people and cost $108.55. The last day to order these side dishes is Nov. 25, and orders can be picked up anytime on Nov. 27.

  • Wines of Colorado will include a Thanksgiving-themed main course and pumpkin desserts on their dinner menu. Reservations for one to six people can be made for times starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 6:30 p.m.

  • According to their Facebook announcement, Colorado Springs Christian Deaf Church will host a Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 28 at 1 p.m. This event is open to the public, and the church wants anyone who is planning on attending to notify them by emailing cschristiandeafchurch@gmail.com; attendees are also encouraged to bring a dish.

  • The Famous Steak House will serve $50 per person Thanksgiving dinners on Nov. 28 from 1 to 7 p.m. According to their announcement, those interested in making a reservation should call 719-227-7333. A menu outline is available in the announcement post.

  • Pints Tavern will host a Thanksgiving potluck on Nov. 28 at 5:30 p.m. According to their event page, the potluck is open to everyone, and attendees are encouraged to bring food but not required.

Denver

  • Brother Jeff’s Cultural Center is hosting a “No One Should be Hungry, Period” free dinner giveaway for people living in Denver and Aurora. Anyone interested can fill out a form on the center’s website. According to the form, Meals will be distributed from noon to 3 p.m. on Nov. 28; anyone who is unable to leave their home because of an “illness, mobility restrictions or lack of transportation” is asked to provide this information before submitting.

  • The Angry Clover will offer a $20.99 Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 28 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Their Facebook advertisement notes that the meal is available while supplies last and on a first come-first served basis. More information on what the meal comes with can be found in the announcement.

  • According to their Facebook event page, Curry Grill Restaurant & Bar will offer an Indian-styled Thanksgiving dinner buffet on Nov. 28 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made here or by calling 720-512-4772.

  • Katherine’s French Bakery & Café is hosting a Thanksgiving Meal Pop-Up on Nov. 27 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. According to the invite, the meal costs $39.95 per person, and $10 is donated to the Food Bank of the Rockies with each purchase. Reservations are required for dine-in and take-out pre-orders. These requests must be made by Nov. 24 at 3 p.m. by calling 303-282-5888.

  • Maggie’s Place is hosting a three-day Thanksgiving potluck from Nov. 28-30; according to the event page, Maggie’s Place will be open from 2 to 11 p.m. on all three days, and interested attendees can join and bring their dishes throughout that period.

  • Water Grill Denver will offer a three-course Thanksgiving menu, in addition to their usual menu items, all day on Nov. 28. According to their website, reservations are required and can be made here.

  • Christ Lutheran Church/Iglesia Luterana Cristo is hosting a Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. According to their Facebook event page, everyone is welcome to attend the free dinner, and anyone who wants to bring food can contact the church here.

  • Bear Creek Distillery will host a Friendsgiving potluck with drink specials on Nov. 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. According to their invite, anyone who wants to bring a dish should email the restaurant at dbo@bearcreakdistillery.com.

  • Blackbird Public House has a full traditional “Thanksgiving feast” menu. According to their website, a Full Feast serves eight to 10 people and costs $275. A Family Feast can serve two people for $60, four for $110 and six for $160. Additional sides and alcohol can be purchased separately. Reservations are required, and the restaurant can accommodate parties of two to eight. The full Thanksgiving menu can be found on Blackbird Public House’s website; the form provided there does not need to be used when dining in.

Federal Heights

  • Round 2 Sports Tavern is offering a free Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 28 starting at 5 p.m. According to the announcement, a dart draw will also take place starting at 7:30 p.m.; more information on how to participate can be found here.

Fountain

  • American Legion Post 38, with The Post 38 Canteen & Grill, is hosting a free community Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 28 from noon to 3 p.m. Anyone can attend and is welcome to bring food to share, according to their announcement.

Golden

Lakewood

  • Simm’s Steakhouse will offer a Thanksgiving buffet on Nov. 28 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. According to their website, adults and seniors pay $60, children aged 5-11 eat for $19.95 and children 4 years old and under eat free. Reservations are required and can be made here.

Littleton

  • One Hope Church will offer a Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m.; according to their website, anyone can attend this free event.

Loveland

  • Find Your Light is hosting a Thanksgiving potluck on Nov. 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Their announcement adds that everyone is welcome and encouraged to bring food to the event. Attendees can sign up for a dish here, and the signup page asks each spot occupant to make 50 of whatever they choose to bring.

Morrison

Pueblo

  • According to their Facebook page, Adam’s Ribs BBQ will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 28. Diners can purchase a Thanksgiving platter, which includes turkey, pumpkin pie and six Thanksgiving sides for $14.99, along with the restaurant’s usual menu items.

Trinidad

  • Zion’s Lutheran Church is hosting a community Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 28 from noon to 3 p.m.; the meal is free and open to the public. According to their website, anyone in Trinidad who wants their meal delivered can email the church at zionsluth@gmail.com. The email should contain the sender’s name, address, phone number and the number of meals needed. Dine-in and takeout options are also available.
